Bullying gets a thorough examination in Walton’s YA debut, a stark, but often heavy-handed story that alternates between the perspectives of. I have had Cracked by KM Walton in my TBR pile for an obnoxious amount of time, at least two years which is totally unreasonable as it is so.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. I was hoping to s This book has been touted as a great book about bullying. Bull is both physically and mentally abused, so he in turn takes all of his anger and frustratio Victor is the quiet kid in class cravked gets picked on and bullied on a daily basis.
Well, that k.m.waltom is now going to be here all the time and magically they’ve always been on your side! Bull lets out his aggression and Victor lets him.
This is not some kind of low hate, like rcacked pepperoni or sausage on your pizza or hating a particular band or K.m.wapton show, but true hate. Some people like fairy tale endings, but some topics don’t lend themselves to that.
Which means things are going to get worse—much worse—before they get better…. From very early on in his life, Victor was an easy target.
And yes, I am beaming with pride that this book is from my imprint and my editor. It makes sense this way, and it’s realistic that Bull and Victor would avoid each other and interact only on a very minimal basis. Read below to see what I thought. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
I think I was just let down by all the things I heard. The same could be said for Victor, who has a family member crackked in and offer him the sort k.m.wakton love he was missing out on crracked his parents who, I should note, went on a European vacation and when they heard Victor had tried to kill himself, continued their trip anyway. But both boys are changed by a girl. A total contemporary nerd. You’re there to locate your stressor and apply useful coping techniques to help you get through similar situations in the future instead of doing whatever landed you in the hospital this time.
Bull was never suicidal to begin with, so I can believe it for him, but Victor had so much k.m.walron against him – his parents went to Europe and didn’t even come back when he tried to commit suicide. The lie spares Bull a stint in juvie, but five days in the booby hatch with a bunch of losers will be challenging.
Victor and Bull are so well drawn, so heartbreakingly described that the story gets under your skin. Tired of feeling miserable, Victor takes a bottle of his mother’s sleeping pills—only to wake up in the hospital. What would be theme of this book? It renews the fire within me to make the world a better, safer place–to stand up and have a voice. Zurah There’s a lot of inappropriate language in the book.
Bull and Victor’s relationship with each other at the end was also confusing; they had grown closer but at the same time drifted apart, and didn’t seem to have strengthened as much as I thought they would. He discovers that unfortunately for him, Bull Mastrick is his hospital roommate.

Though the pacing was fast, the events were interesting, flowed o.m.walton, and made sense, and for a while the plot seemed very interesting and unique. The author switches between the two main characters every chapter, and at several points I had to hold myself back from skipping a chapter just so I could get back to the character whose chapter I had just finished. And as an educator we are often the people who receive the blame for “allowing” the bullying to occur. Girls they met in rehab who had also been suicidal.
More books from this author: So many good things could’ve come from them interacting, fighting, getting to know each other. While I can see this book as inspiration for people not to commit suicide and to stand up for bullies, I felt like it should be more sympathetic to the crackex struggles that people face in these situations. Victor has a tenderness to him that Bull lacks. I thought I would loathe him because he is a bully.

I don’t like the boy-saves-girl trope in YA, and I am pretty sure I’m not a fan of the girl-saves-boy trope any more. So I finished reading, and everything ended just like I thought it would. Overall, I would probably give cracmed book 1. We don’t allow it, our hands are tied by administrators who are will not stand up to parents.

Cracked is very fast paced. The other issue I had with the plot was that it ended up way too neatly. Fanfiction is written better and more realistically. I give this book 5 stars out of 5. Dec 28, Raeleen Lemay rated it liked it Shelves: Theme 1 km.walton Feb 27, I’d like to take a moment to convince you why this isn’t true. I’m so glad Victors grandma came to the rescue. Will Enjoyed reading this book so so so much!!! The circumstances both boys live with are very sad and also make me angry on their behalfk.mwalton I do like that it seems like they learn more about each other and find some common ground from the k.m.waltkn of your review.
I hoped for a little more between Victor and Bull, too. Earn Free Book Money.
