I would’ve paid at least probably-I don’t know. I highly recommend you check it out. It’s not for the man who normally likes to wear sandals, shorts and a t-shirt. So, where it’s come flsser, where it’s at now and a little bit of a prediction on, you know, where it’s going to go, which if-with the way he talks about it. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read.
This is considered to be one of the must-read books about men’s style, and I believe that reputation is deserved. It’s not-it is more for the man who dresses in a suit regularly or is a consultant or in a position in which he needs to understand flussrr importance of clothing.

My favorite thing about the book is that you can gaze a little bit into the history of male fashion dressiny the author explains the current style and evolution of clothes from a historical perspective too.

I definitely feel more aware of proper, timeless, mens fashion now. Where there is room for innovation and cheekiness fluwser where the Rules are set in stone.
First off, it’s comprehensive. Books by Alan Flusser. This was much more of a very good thing.

Going by the illustrations and people included in the thd, much of the content is likely most relevant if you move in swanky New England circles, have stacks of money, and maybe even lived 60 years ago. Or, if he wants to show you color, of course, or the texture of a fabric, he brings in a large, really just great photo.
What I really like though is that he still brings in some modern touches as well. A few minor parts seem subjective but on the whole it is a worthwhile and informative read. This is his best work,in my opinion. It is Alan Flusser’s magnum opus, and you ought to read it. With the flusseg men dress nowadays and for the majority, for the larger population, I think probably a much larger section on business casual, and perhaps breaking that out and talking about how we can mix-would’ve been better.

Overall I give it my highest recommendation and although not perfect — it is one of the finest reference texts available for your library. He has a lovely turn of phrase as well, which keeps the book floating along. It is probably not essential to own a copy, but Mann will probably continue to check it out of the library from time to time to refresh my memory and, flussed, to draw inspiration from those vintage photographs of Cary Grant.
Stellar photos, comprehensive organization, and attention to the smallest sartorial details imbue the book with a perfect blend of nostalgia and freshness.

The single best book for learning elements of timeless dress and discerning the quality of men’s clothing. When he’s not blogging or changing diapers, he’s playing bass guitar and singing in his Beatles tribute band. So, he wants you to focus on something like how a jacket should fit and how you could tell if something’s a bit tight here in the midsection.
Yep, no more jeans and t-shirts for me. But there’re going to be many who say that, you know, everything he focused on was just too formal.
