Tropic of Ruislip, which was also made into a TV drama, centres around the residents of a new housing estate, Plummers Park, somewhere on the outskirts of London. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. Born in Newport, Monmouthshire,Leslie Thomas is the son of a sailor who was lost at sea in Learn lleslie your comment data is processed. A great proportion of his thoughts are directed to the unanswerable question as to why he ran off with another woman—only to return to his wife.
But that said, it is a great story and one that would be a good introduction for anyone who has not read his books before.
